Even if you are Brazilian, have spent a lot of time with a Brazilian, or have been to Brazil itself, nothing can quite prepare you for a Brazilian wax. As a way to get rid of all of the hair around your genitals and buttocks crease, a Brazilian wax is especially popular amongst our female patients during this time of year. If you have never had a Brazilian wax, however, you may be a bit worried about what you can expect and how to prepare. Luckily, we have created a brief preparatory guide to help you feel more confident when coming into our office for your Brazilian wax. Read on to learn more.
Let It Grow
One of the hardest parts of any person getting a Brazilian is having to let it grow out for about three weeks. For our wax experts to grab ahold of the hair and remove it from the follicle, your hair needs to be a quarter of an inch long. So, if you have a big beach day or pool party coming up, make sure to give yourself plenty of time beforehand to let it grow out.
Unfortunately, there is no way around the pain when it comes to getting a Brazilian wax. But by coming into your appointment knowing that it may hurt will help you emotionally prepare. And, our staff of waxing experts will try to keep your mind occupied and off of the pain by talking to you. If you are experiencing a lot of pain, try some deep breathing exercises— slowly inhale through your mouth and exhale through your nose.
A Brazilian wax is the best way to get rid of unwanted hair during bikini season. And if you’re wearing an exceptionally revealing swimsuit, you can’t go wrong by having everything waxed off.
