When it comes to living a perfect life and feeling like your best self, it doesn’t always come naturally. Here at Twin City Plastic Surgery, we specialize in a variety of surgical and non-invasive treatments that are designed to help give you the perfect face and body you’ve always wanted so that you can feel that much closer to perfection. If you have either injured your nose or have simply always been self-conscious about it, then we can help. With a traditional rhinoplasty, we can surgically restructure your nose to help fixed breathing and cosmetic issues. Although this surgery is fairly common, there are still some things you may not know about it.
- You Have to Wait Until Your Nose Stops Growing
Here at Twin City Plastic Surgery, we only recommend a cosmetic rhinoplasty for patients whose noses have fully developed. On average, a woman’s nose has fully developed around age 15 to 16 and age 17 to 18 in men.
- Recovery Is Key
Just like with any surgery, recovery from rhinoplasty is key to having a successful surgery and results. Before we send you home from surgery, we will give you a detailed care packet that includes a list of do’s and don’t. If you have any questions about your recovery at any point during the process, don’t hesitate to give us a call.
- Filler Can Be Used
Typically when patients think about rhinoplasties, they think about making the nose smaller by taking out cartilage and tissue. However, in some instances, when a patient wants to add more shape or contour to the nose then we can add to it either using fat from another part of the body or a synthetic filler.
