If there’s one language that we speak here at Twin City Plastic Surgery it’s plastic surgery. As one of the medical files that sometimes gets a bad rap, we thought that we would debunk some common myths about procedures in general. Why? So that when you come into our office for surgery you can feel more confident throughout the entire process.
Myth: It’s Only for Women
It may be surprising to some people but men are also hopping on the plastic surgery boat. In fact, more and more men are becoming more comfortable with all sorts of plastic surgery procedures including rhinoplasties, liposuction, or even minimally invasive things like Botox. If you are a man who has been wanting to get a procedure done but are too self-conscious, we are here to let you know that there’s no reason to be and we will help you feel comfortable the entire time that you’re in our care.
Myth: You Have to Be Old to Get It
Another thing that people assume is that you have to be a little bit older in order to justify getting plastic surgery done, but that’s just not the case. You should enjoy your body and feel confident in it at all stages of your life. So, if you are in your sixties or seventies and you want surgery, then great. But, if you are in your twenties and you want surgery, then that is equally as great.
Myth: It’s Dangerous
We will go over all of the potential risks and complications with you during your initial surgical consultation. However, risks and complications are typically minimal, rare, and they are nothing to be scared of. If you have any questions or concerns at any point during the process, we are here to help.
