Julie Payne, Medical Office Assistant

Julie Payne joined the Twin City Plastic Surgery Team in October of 2012 as the Medical Office Assistant. In this role, she works directly with each of our doctors to assure that our patients are well cared for while they are in our office, whether escorting them to exam rooms, assisting the doctors during in-office procedures, or prepping patients for non-surgical procedures. Working behind the scenes, Julie also works closely with our reduction mammoplasty, panniculectomy, and breast cancer patients through the tedious insurance process to ensure a smooth transition when starting that long journey. No matter the situation, however, Julie’s quirky sense of humor always helps to make each patient feel at ease.

Prior to joining Twin City Plastic Surgery, Julie gained her medical experience and surgical background from working at Cortese Foot and Ankle Clinic for three years where she was the right-hand man to the physicians. This included rooming the patients, writing and calling in prescriptions, initiating insurance authorizations, and circulating and assisting in the operating room. She also gained her medical knowledge from working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Heritage Manor for three years.

Julie grew up in a small town called Chalmers, Indiana, and moved to Normal in 1998. As a graduate of Normal Community West High School, she continued her education at Heartland Community College where she received her Associate’s Degree in Science and CNA license in 2007. Julie enjoys spending time and doing sports with her two children, and she can normally be found burning some calories during the week at Zumba or Werq classes … and, she is also not afraid to bust out some karaoke!
